Machine Learning on Scratch

During this guided learning program, students will participate in online sessions hosted by NPE STEM learning facilitators. By gathering training data, training Machine Learning models with collected data, and developing programs in Scratch based on the Machine Learning models trained, students will gain an understanding of Machine Learning and Supervised Machine Learning concepts. This course doesn't require any coding experience. The recommended age range is 9-14. Class size is capped at six students for each online group.

App Development

Do you want to create your own app? MIT App Inventor is a drag-and-drop block coding platform for learning how to create apps and turn your brilliant ideas into a mobile application. During the guided learning program, students will join online sessions hosted by an NPE STEM learning facilitator. Students will have the chance to learn how to design interfaces and features of apps, code and program their apps, and test their apps on a smartphone or tablet as part of the Project-Based Learning program. Students will also have opportunities to share and present their apps to their peers during the program and family and friends after the program. This course doesn't require any coding experience. The recommended age range is 9-14. Class size is capped at six students for each online group.

3D Design & Print

With Makers Empire 3D your child can unleash their imagination, build creative confidence, solve problems. The learning program is designed for students between K-4. Through the introduction of 3D design and print, our Learning Facilitators guide students to solve problem by create their 3D Design in Makers Empire.  It aims to develop children’s creative confidence, design thinking skills, problem-solving skills and interest in STEM with the world’s most fun and easy to use 3D design software.

Junior LEGO Robotics

NPE's Junior LEGO Robotic Program challenges students to define problems, ask questions, and design their own solutions—setting them on a path to become lifelong learners.​ The programs engage students through LEGO® Education WeDo robotic kit, which is an intuitive hands-on solution designed to develop primary school children's curiosity and confidence to solve real-life problems through engaging STEAM projects. LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 combines LEGO elements with intuitive block-based coding and curriculum-aligned lesson plans that make STEAM learning fun and accessible. LEGO bricks, sensors and motors help students of all levels develop concrete and tangible understanding of abstract concepts.
